Roy Jones' 1998 Porsche 996 Carrera - as featured in issue 68 of Total 911 magazine
Introduction
Roy Jones 996 started out as a healthy, low-mileage and up-to-date super car. As time passed he looked for a 996GT3 but was unhappy with the comfort factor of such a high end car. The answer was to create a GT3 conversion with brakes and looks to match. This incarnation was featured in Total 911 Issue 9 - click here for more info on our site.
Fast forward to 2010 and the new generation 997 Carrera S, Roy now felt that his 12 year old steed was wearing well and going on the "Better the Devil you Know" concept he was looking for something a bit more spicy and up to date again. This time Porscheshop came to hand again with their new EuroCupGT brand and worked on an idea based around a Green Ruf 997 Roy had seen in a magazine.
The idea now was more performance orientated, coupled with unique looks. This was archived using our off the shelf EuroCupGT full Stainless Steel Polished high flow exhaust system, EuroCup 997 Carrera S twin tail pipes, Viezu Re-Map, K&N intake system, EuroCupGT reclining 997GT3 style Carbon and leather seats, Agency Power 1/2 roll cage, carbon rear spoiler wing and 997 Gen-2 style LED running light and bumpers Topped off with a set of Titanium look 19" Carrera S wheels.
In October 2010 the car was again featured in Total911 magazine and titled "Regeneration". It was written by T911 editor and award winning Porsche review expert; Phil Raby and photographed by Alisdair Cusick.

Total 911 Magazine
The car was featured in issue 68 of Total 911 magazine. Here is what Total 911 had to say:
"The effect is good; at first glance, it looks much newer than a 12-year-old car should"
"... fitted a set of Porscheshop LED 996 rear lights that... have smoked edges that subtly change the lights' appearance to make them seem slimmer and more like 997 items. These lights alone would be a useful update to any 996"
"... created a unique and eye-catching 911 within a sensible budget"
